If the bruins buyout Reilly it's only like a 300k cap hit this season, doubt we spend a third to get rid of him

Not sure how dumping Myers 6 mil costs the same as dumping reilly's 3 mil? Think Reilly would be cheaper to dump.

Don't see the Hawks making any of those 3 trades. #19 and #51 should be enough to move up 5 spots to #14. So that means the Hawks are taking Granny and his $5m cap hit for 2 years for free. No way Hawks do that. Canucks won't use a 3rd to move out Myers - it costs less once his bonus is paid on 7/1. And Reilly just blocks Vlasic, Phillips or Kaiser from getting regular ice time. Hawks don't need him.

I very much doubt it costs less to move Myers. Even after real money considerations, it is still a $6M cap hit. I know VAN fans want to believe that with all their hearts. Actual cash is certainly a consideration, but cap space is the premium variable here, ESPECIALLY going into next season. Think about it this way, how much would you charge to broker a 3-way deal that has CHI retaining some of his cap hit? Because that is the very least it should cost to dump him.
