The Blues are not spending a 1st to move Leddy, and certainly not with more cap coming back. Defeats the whole purpose.

Would Columbus be willing to swap Foudy with Dumais?

You also probably aren't getting Lindholm signed for less than 8.5M

Canucks have no cap to make that move, but good value. Its exactly the kind of trade they need to make when they clear cap.IMHO.

Canucks should take that as long as they can clear the cap to do so.

Eric Robinson plays the same position as Alex Turcotte, for whom we're trying to find playing time because we have lefties Byfield, Fiala, Iafallo, Kempe and Moore all capable of playing LW.

Well, they're both LW, but that is where the similarities end (also, isn't Turcotte a C?). Robinson is a fast, relentless forechecker and backchecker with hands of stone. If he had any kind of offensive ability, he'd be the best player on the team. But as it is, he is a perfect fourth liner, for a good team or a bad one. Forgive me if I'm mischaracterizing Turcotte, but isn't he a bit of an offensive one-trick pony who doesn't win board battles and is made of glass?

So far, Turcotte hasn't shown much, I certainly can't disagree with you there, but my point is, no matter how useful Robinson is, or how good a fourth-liner he might be, on our team, we have three guys at #4LW already (incl Grundstrom and Anderson-Dolan) and Robinson wouldn't have any room because you can only have 14 forwards on a sensible roster. It was not a value judgment at all.

I should've been more specific. Turcotte > Robinson, neither of us disagree there! I'm just asking, why would you include Turcotte as 4LW? He is not a fourth liner. The Kings and Jackets no longer line up well as trading partners as both have a ton of the same thing and both need the same thing.

We're clearly both on the same page, all right. Our top 12 is pretty well set:
    Byfield - Kopitar - Kempe
    Moore - Danault - Arvidsson
    Fiala - Lizotte - Vilardi
    Iafallo - Kupari - Kaliyev
For both roster and cap reasons, it seems like someone has to go if Turcotte is to get his chance anywhere (and we are to address our #2LhD problem). If Arvidsson is the odd man out, Vilardi and Iafallo move up and Fiala moves over (or Turcotte goes in at #3LW). If Iafallo goes, Turcotte goes in there.

This will be a very interesting off-season for us.
