A team that is bleeding money profusely, Isn't taking on dumps. And Carolina doesn't have cap issues. So i can't figure out the Kotkaniemi trade.

It all depends. I don't think everyone on here realizes that there are more than one kind of dump. AZ will 100% take on a guy like Voracek knowing that insurance is paying his full contract. TMyers will have his $5M signing bonus paid in september and then AZ would only pay hi $1M for his services. Maybe VAN also send Pearson? I believe his contract is insured, but I've ready somewhere that Poolman's isn't. AZ will take those guys, but Murray is owed ~$6M. AZ isn't doing that. Mantha is owed ~$6.5M...they're not doing that either.

Canucks accept. Vancouver gets cap space, Arizona gets a 4th plus a guy that can help them reach the cap floor without spending actual money, seems good for both sides. Arizona can probably also retain 50% and ship Myers out for another pick at the TDL.

Over 0.5 PPG as a 22 year old and isn't even making 5 mil. Maybe it agent poorly, but in the current day it's not even remotely close to a dump.
