He was a free agent so I signed him. He wasn't signed with the canes. and the canes took a second rounder from me and didn't have to pay much at all. So your wrong.

No way they trade away Zacha for only a third especially w the little center depth they have. DET would laugh at Ras for Wood, especially after the contract signed (and why sign a player just to trade him right after??). Little to no return for Bussi who had an outstanding rookie season in the AHL. Yes it was mean but it was the truth.

Miles Wood last year: 27 points in 76 games (as a 27 year old)

Michael Rasmussen last year: 29 points in 56 games plus being one of the Wings best defensive forwards, playing pk, and providing much needed physicality (as a 23/24 year old)

Oh and on a cheaper contract. The Wings decline immediately. Wood is older, more expensive, and worse.
