Description
Aggressive offers sheets…

Miller - get a solid LHD top 4 compliment to Burns, Slavin and Pesce (who agrees to a 5 year $5.25m extension).

Colton - gritty middle six winger who can play up and down the lineup and would fit the system well. Aggressive in the mould they were with KK. Up front money, long term view after Jan 1 (5-6 year deal 2.5-3.0m AAV).

PLD trade is something I’ve come around on as long as there is a 2-3 year contract and the acquisition cost isn’t huge. I know Jets fans will hate this, but I’m not sure PLD is netting a massive return unless he agrees to a mega-extension in the 8 year range with the acquiring team.

Skjei is a possible trade target prior to or at TDL.

Jets accept if it is the best offer. Seems like a better package then MTL would give.

Rangers match.
Turbo probably doesn’t waive for Winnipeg
Too much for Ross C
Barb and PLD require more to sign

Quite possible - I also think this would only work for the Canes if PLD wants a shorter term deal. Seems counterintuitive but Canes sweet spot might be 2-3 years and figure out the cap situation then. Might be a good win-win for player and team.

I agree, The Jets seem like they are looking for roster pieces not picks or prospects and MTL doesn't have many worth trading for outside of Suzuki and Caufield

Aho is already talking about a 9.75m x 8 extension with the Canes, and Pesce likely comes in around 5.2-5.5m. The cap will go up by some amount and Skjei is likely gone. Plenty of money

I am very high on Drury. He would be the player I am targeting from CAR in any PLD, Scheifele, or Hellebuyck trade. MTL doesnt have the young roster players to trade. The only roster players that they would trade are dvorak, anderson, hoffman, armia and they all are cap dumps.

I agree with them being cap dumps... Drury would be a great 2C if he wasn't stuck in the lock jam of Carolina

I don't think he is signing long-term anywhere even in MTL. I see him doing what Matthews is doing. Take a 3-5 year deal to maximize the $. I don't see many players taking long-term deals this offseason as the cap is going up soon.

The other centre I like in a PLD trade is Filp Chytil in NY. He just resigned but I think the Rangers would consider if PLD was coming back... plus Jets have a history making trades with NYR (Trouba, Hayes).

I like Teravainen but he likely isn't waiving for Winnipeg, Dvorak is a center with another year of term, if the Habs offered the Florida 1st with Dvorak and a prospect close to Drury's level I think the Habs trade would be better for the Jets.

The Rangers getting PLD would be the cap gymnastics of all time. Would be fascinating to watch.

Rangers match with what cap space? They'd still have to sign like 8 more players to ice a team after matching with only like 4-5 million in cap space

for Miller they make it work. he is worth it. now a 1st and 3rd for Laf is a different story.

TT isn't waiving for Winnipeg and the Jets aren't likely looking for a rental in return.

I agree that he's worth it. I just don't see how they would possibly make it work 🤷🏻‍♂️

in the slight chance someone does this, they will move Goodrow and then try to make the pieces fit.

Goodrow has a lot of say here since he gets to tell the Rangers no to half the league with his M-NTC
