  1. Foudy, Liam
  2. 2025 2nd round pick (CBJ)
Additional Details:
Columbus gets a good 2C and Gaudreau's best friend for only 4 million.
CBJ
  1. Hayes, Kevin ($3,142,857 retained)
Additional Details:
Foudy gets a fresh start with the Flyers and with the deal the Flyers would get the 2024 and 2025 Columbus 2nd round picks along with this week's trade.
2.
PHI
  1. 2023 3rd round pick (PHI)
Additional Details:
DeAngelo heads back to Carolina where he had the best year of his career. Flyers retain and get back their 3rd from the original deal.
CAR
  1. Deangelo, Anthony ($1,500,000 retained)
3.
PHI
  1. Murray, Matt
  2. Robertson, Nicholas
  3. 2023 1st round pick (BOS)
  4. 2024 1st round pick (TOR)
TOR
  1. Hart, Carter
Additional Details:
Flyers maximize value by taking back the final year of Murray's contract.
4.
PHI
  1. 2023 2nd round pick (PHI)
  2. 2023 5th round pick (BUF)
BUF
  1. Laughton, Scott
Additional Details:
The Flyers should look to move Laughton for an early to mid 2nd and a 4th or 5th. Could be any team looking for a versatile, gritty, top 9 forward who would be good in the playoffs.
5.
PHI
  1. 2024 4th round pick (SEA)
SEA
  1. Seeler, Nick
Additional Details:
Not sure if Seattle is a fit but I would look to move Seeler to a playoff team looking for a solid, cheap 3rd pairing D. A future 4th seems about right.

Some explanations to this plan.

-The obvious idea was tear the roster down and add quality picks and prospects. With all of these trades the Flyers would the following picks between 2023-2025:
1st - 2
2nd - 2
3rd - 1
4th - 1
5th - 1

-I would look to sign a player or two in free agency to a one year deal with the hopes of flipping them at the deadline. In this case it was Shattenkirk and Dadonov but could be any number of players.

-Under this scenario the Flyers could have competition in camp between Ersson, Sandstrom, Petersen, and Murray. I would expect Ersson and Petersen to come out on top but who knows. Obviously Pettersen and Murray would clear waivers, and while it's a risk with Sandstrom I don't think he gets claimed and if he can't win a spot in camp his future here is questionable as it is.

-Younger guys would get opportunities throughout the year, and definitely after the deadline depending on how the play in the AHL. Robertson, Grans, and Brink especially would hopefully push for opportunities.

The value is probably right, but I think CBJ are hesitant to trade another 2nd for Hayes after the Provy trade. We still want to clear out F spots, so maybe adding Rosy with retention can take the 2nd to a 3rd or something?

Then again, this has already been a stupid off-season for CBJ, so who knows.

I assume Rosy is Roslovic. Unless he can be flipped at the deadline he has no use for the Flyers so Columbus would have to retain a good bitwhich kind of defeats the purpose of getting so much of the Hayes deal retained. One option would be to trade a prospect with some actual value instead of Foudy who is a dart throw reclamation project at this point which could then lower the pick to a 3rd.

Eh, don’t really think we have a prospect worth moving for Hayes. Foudy and/or Bemstrom are what I’d say are on the table. Maybe Jake Bean, if you like; but, we need to clear out some of our F group.

And no issue retaining half on Rosy. The benefit is he is on an expiring contract, so it’s not a long-term hit the way Hayes is.

Torts hates Roslovic and we have no use for him. The only way I see you getting Hayes and getting rid of Roslovic is if you overpay Danny again

Sammy is an RFA, and I don't think he'll be getting more than Murray's current cap hit. Woll is as good if not better as Montembeault (though I admit its a smaller sample size), and moving Murray will be to open the necessary cap space to sign Sammy. Kallgren shouldn't be in this convo, he's a 4th string, but even then, worst case is he signs in Europe.

Also, imo, the Leafs shouldn't trade all their futures unless they can be certain of what their getting back. Sure, the Leafs have proven that they aren't afraid to test the goalie position with unproven talent and risky acquisitions, but they didn't pay futures for them, Murray came with picks, only costing future considerations, and Sammy was a 1 yr 1 mil FA signing, both guys (and 2 late picks) acquired without sending out 2 1sts, our 2nd best young left wing behind Knies, and Murray, who can be dumped with far safer methods.

Do the Leafs have so many goalies that we can't go out and try to acquire one? no, but should we go out and acquire one? also no, especially not one with media baggage after the WJ incident, and who is known for consistency problems, and we shouldn't invest the little draft capital we have for it.

I think Seattle considers this. Seeler was in discussions as a fit for Seattle at the 23 trade deadline. Comes as across as a low risk trade that gets someone to stick on that bottom pairing between Megna and Fleury (if re-signed).

Not enough for return in the Hart trade or Laughton trade

The 2 is 39th overall and in one of the best draft in several years. It's pretty much like having a late first as well as a fifth, which is about the most the Flyers could expect for Laughton.

Figuring out a trade for Hart with fair value is extremely difficult as most trades are simply a variation of recent trades for similar players. 24 year old starting goalies with his upside just aren't traded which makes it difficult to project.

Says who? There is no valid argument why Leafs should waste assets on Hart when they have Sammy & Woll ready to go. Sammy has a similar pedigree to Hart (1st round pick) and had much better numbers across the board last year (sv%, high danger sv%, saves above expected, war) + Woll was excellent all year - ahl, nhl, playoffs.
Absolutely no reason for leafs to trade for Hart other than flyer fans hoping we will help kickstart their rebulild, not gonna happen bud 😂

I’ve been anxiously waiting for habs fans to chime in on our goalie situation; everything you wrote is wrong but thanks anyway 🤷🏻. Maybe you should focus on the draft so you don’t blow it (again)
