Hart My ask from Montreal
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TheBigFlyera</b></div><div>Personally would do Barron and a 1st for Hart and that’s it</div></div>
If Montreal wants Hart and they are offering up that Florida first which will be 31 or 32 then they absolutely have to include one of Barron, Hutson, or Beck.
Same with Toronto, if they are putting 28 on the table than Knies has to be in the deal.
If either teams wants to include their old, ****ty, overpaid goalie for cap relief than they can add another pick or B level prospect. Either way, the Flyers aren't going to trade Hart unless they can get two big time pieces for him.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TheBigFlyera</b></div><div>Not enough for return in the Hart trade or Laughton trade</div></div>
The 2 is 39th overall and in one of the best draft in several years. It's pretty much like having a late first as well as a fifth, which is about the most the Flyers could expect for Laughton.
Figuring out a trade for Hart with fair value is extremely difficult as most trades are simply a variation of recent trades for similar players. 24 year old starting goalies with his upside just aren't traded which makes it difficult to project.

I know who he is. He was actually the 11th pick. His development hasnt been great and he might not even be a top 5 prospect in their system. That trade is gross for the Flyers.

Flyers in two years
The Flyers arent trading Hart or TK for so little.
Giving long term deals for two older 3rd pairing D is the exact opposite of what a rebuilding team will/should do.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dopplsan</b></div><div>The value is probably right, but I think CBJ are hesitant to trade another 2nd for Hayes after the Provy trade. We still want to clear out F spots, so maybe adding Rosy with retention can take the 2nd to a 3rd or something?
Then again, this has already been a stupid off-season for CBJ, so who knows.</div></div>
I assume Rosy is Roslovic. Unless he can be flipped at the deadline he has no use for the Flyers so Columbus would have to retain a good bitwhich kind of defeats the purpose of getting so much of the Hayes deal retained. One option would be to trade a prospect with some actual value instead of Foudy who is a dart throw reclamation project at this point which could then lower the pick to a 3rd.

Some explanations to this plan.
-The obvious idea was tear the roster down and add quality picks and prospects. With all of these trades the Flyers would the following picks between 2023-2025:
1st - 2
2nd - 2
3rd - 1
4th - 1
5th - 1
-I would look to sign a player or two in free agency to a one year deal with the hopes of flipping them at the deadline. In this case it was Shattenkirk and Dadonov but could be any number of players.
-Under this scenario the Flyers could have competition in camp between Ersson, Sandstrom, Petersen, and Murray. I would expect Ersson and Petersen to come out on top but who knows. Obviously Pettersen and Murray would clear waivers, and while it's a risk with Sandstrom I don't think he gets claimed and if he can't win a spot in camp his future here is questionable as it is.
-Younger guys would get opportunities throughout the year, and definitely after the deadline depending on how the play in the AHL. Robertson, Grans, and Brink especially would hopefully push for opportunities.

The Flyers wouldn't trade TK and Foerster for Nylander from a value perspective and Nylander makes no sense for them and their rebuild. Oh, and you had the audacity to also ask for the 22nd overall pick. Kids, don't do dope.

So the Flyers, a rebuilding team are going to give up two picks to move a bad goalie making 5 million for the next two years, for another bad goalie making 3.85 million for the next two years? Are you drunk or something.

Carter Hart Deal Analysis
FN Habs fans wonder why everyone thinks their fanbase are the biggest clowns. You'd have to give up that future late 2nd to have someone take back Allen's junk contract. So you are essentially giving up 37 for Hart which is laughable. Ive seen a lot 9f ****es trying to get Hart for pennies on the dollar but this might take the cake. Congrats.

Hart to Montreal
If people dont like the trade or think it makes sense for Montreal thats perfectly fine. That doesnt mean you all need to get all stupid.
Jake Allen has a cap hit of almost four million for two more years. He is 32 years old and his numbers have declined for three straight years. Last season he was at 3.55 and 0.891 which is putrid. That contract is awful and Montreal could use that 3.85 million a thousand times better.
Montembeault was not better than Hart last year and for their careers its not even close. Hart had 15 more starts last season and a GAA about half a goal lower and save % 7 points higher. Hart is a massive upgrade over him.
As for "Hart was a 2nd round pick so we can just some goalie at 37." I'm not even going to waste my time.

It would cost the Leafs that 2024 first to rid themselves of Matt Murray. That means the Flyers are getting back a late first and average prospect AND they have to retain on Hart. So silly.

It is a complete and total garbage deal. Nobody wants Yamamoto. Daily faceoff has him as on of their top candidates to be bought out this summer.
Congrats on that .912 save percentage in 29 AHL games this season, Before that he was an absolute disaster for two years not only in the AHL but the ECHL as well. He wouldn't even be the 1st or 2nd best goalie prospect in the Flyers system.

I wouldn't trade TK straight up for Nylander and any moves the Flyers make need to yield picks and prospects not give them away. If you are trying to be realistic it's not a trade the Flyers would have interest in.

Trying to make necessary moves
I'm going to be in the middle of the two sides here. 17 and 9 for 7 is way too much. However, the deal as currently constructed isn't quite enough. Not only that the Flyers don't gain picks just equity and they need to gain quantity. It's only two spots but those are a big two spots. A couple of years ago the Coyotes gave the Flyers a 2nd round pick to move up from 14 to 11. Make it 9 and 43 for 7 and I think that's fair for both sides. Otherwise the Flyers decline.

Campbell is an average at best goalie who the Oilers overpaid and can't wait to get rid of.
Yamamoto is too small in a bottom 6 role and can only score 15-20 goals in a top 6 role if McDavid is carrying him. He also makes 3 million a year. Daily faceoff said the other day the Oilers might buy him out, he's a cap dump.
Rodrigue can't even put up good numbers in the AHL and was in the ECHL a year ago. He wouldn't even be the Flyers best goalie prospect.
You offered up two future, late first round picks for Hart, two cap dumps, and a B or C level prospect and when you get called out for it you are going to whine. Get real homie.
