LOL Murphy isn't a cap dump. With that offer, the Hawks blacklist you forever

Why would Chi give up draft stock while rebuilding to get rid of a player when they have approx. 40mil in cap space right now?

I don’t see San Jose dropping that far down in the draft

LOL....Murphy costs a 1st or Hawks don't move him. Sure as heck aren't giving away the #35 pick in this draft with him

All good. How you resigning Kane, Lafereniere, and Tarasenko with $11M in cap space?

Hart is not a chip to move up, especially if the pick isn’t in the top 2.

SJ also isn’t the best fit for him.

Ellis is LTIR, no need to move him

Goodrow might be a 3rd to dump

I think my view is how deep this draft is... you could grab a top 6 player in the 20s and add your franchise goalie. They probably don't want to drop that far tho! Id be down to moving 7th but Id want 26 in return as well.

How about they are not signing Kane or Tarasenko and will be signing Miller and Laffy and probably Motte, which they have cap space to do as is and keep Goodrow. But, if they do end up needing cap space, its better to just buy Goodie out than dump assets and cap space to trade him.

I think I’d rather just keep the picks. You can still get a good player in the 20s but there’s a big difference in moving from Smith, Carlsson, Michkov to Heidt, Gauthier, etc

Perfect, I mean there's no reason why the Flyers would want Bedard, Reichel and Korchinski, they wouldn't know what to do with them! LOL

That's way too much to ask of the Rangers for a Goodrow cap dump, especially with salary retention. If Drury can't find a suitable partner that'll take him for little value then he'll just buy him out.

Fair enough. I have read from multiple Rangers insider that he is the top trade candidate. I can take away the retention and downgrade the pick to a 3rd.

That's a lot more realistic of a trade.
