That's way too much. 17oa with Berggren I mean.

Ottawa accepts if it's the 2024 first and the Flyers' 2024 second.

Teuvo would be a rental in Ottawa and #30 overall is too low.

Tuevo signs a contract and then he's traded to Ottawa and maybe an extra pick to compensate for how low the pick is.

Dallas, Florida and Vegas are cap strapped and could not afford without sending cap back.

Depending on what the contract is, that would be more acceptable.

                      That's fine.

Although it depends on which players those three teams are sending back.

                      That's fine.

Although it depends on which players those three teams are sending back.

Dallas likely sends Faksa + Hakanpaa. Maybe the RFA Dellandrea
                      Not sure on the others.

Depending on what the contract is, that would be more acceptable.

                      Something in the $5x5 range

Hurricanes beat that offer with Tuevo a first and a second

Tuevo is a non starter for OTT, too old and will want a contract that will be atleast 2M higher than what he has now into his mid 30s, no thanks

He might want that but there is no world in which he's going to get $7m... he'll probably get $5-6m at most. He'll probably be able to play top-six minutes at top-six skill for at least another 5-6 years.

all futures offers will be rejected by OTT immediately, they need help now, not in 2-3 years and it is no guarantee they can used the all futures asserts to get help now. of course if all OTT gets are all futures offer then they will have no choice but to accept the best one

ya... no chance a guy with multiple 60+ points season under his belt will take the same or less than what he is currently making for what will most likely be his last contract unless it is to stay in CAR

I just want any DeBrincat trade that allows Ottawa to "save face" from the trade with Chicago.

If it's for futures, so be it.

                      Detroit can't beat that offer.

                      And shouldn't.

Is Washington seriously offering up next years first? Any protections?

                      Yes, they are.

There are no protections because it's part of the compromise of not trading #8 overall in 2023 for DeBrincat.

Totally agree. Unless it's Berggren and a second I'm not for it.
