These are all heavily lopsided in the Habs favor. Particularly the Jets, Canucks and Devils trades.

The Caps aren’t trading back from 8th to 16th to move Mantha. No team in the history of the NHL Salary Cap has ever traded a Top 10 Pick to move a “Cap Dump” and Mantha is still a serviceable player.

Canucks easily decline. Moving up 3 spots in the draft is nowhere near enough to dump Gallagher’s monstrosity of a contract. If you want Vancouver to take on Gallagher, add pick 5 and your 2024 1st (unprotected) and drop all the pieces from Vancouver’s sides and make it FC’s.
