For Hayes!?

Flyers will need to pay someone to take Hayes. Rebuilding Preds would not trade any one piece of that trade for Hayes.

Hayes isn't worth anything close to that.

Replace Hayes with 7OA, and I think it's close.

Lmao Hayes only get like a 3rd but the flyers certainly won’t have to pay someone to dump him that’s comical

If you like jokes, you should check out the OP. Philly doesn't have a player NSH would give up for that package.

They most likely will though. That contract is terrible..........another Fletcher masterpiece. He'll probably never crack 50 points again. Cut your losses and let Danny and Keith do their job to reshape the team.

24 OA, A-level prospect, and a young 2C for 7 OA isn't that far off in terms of value. Not that PHI would eve do it but still....

Especially since he has only put up 50+ points once

Lol A-level prospect? The dude has basically the same stats as Frost in both the OHL and AHL. And before this season people we ready to write him off as a bust and now most think he’s a 2C at best. A level prospect is a superstar level. I’m not trading 7 for 24 a solid prospect and glass who doesn’t fit their timeline and don’t have a place for. I keep 7 and draft a player better than all of them and then draft at 22 and take a player probably just as good as them.

Yeah they won’t be dumping him, especially when they retain on him. Sorry but if you think Hayes at $4M costs something to dump u don’t know what ur talking about lol. No player that can put up 40-50 points for $4M is getting dumped.

Too much for Hayes. The Flyers will be able to get something for him if they retain, but this is too much from Nashville. It would be highway robbery.

THere were 50 players between 40 and 50 points last year in the NHL, and more than 50% of them made less than 4M. And most of them were still under 30. He's a cap dump to change the culture, and someone on the downside of their career

Yeah they aren't going to get much, but not nothing. Probably has to be part of some package swap.

There is this new rule in the NHL where you can retain up to 50% of someone's salary in a trade, maybe you've heard of it. Teams would gladly give up a 2nd or 3rd round pick for a 50+ point center at 3.5 million (50% retained).

Obviously the Flyers wouldn't sniff the return on that trade even if they retained but they not only won't have to give something for someone to take him. they will get something back based on how much they retain.

Wrong

22-23 54 points
18-19 55 points

He also had 49 points in 16-17

I’m stupid lmao. Missed that he was traded mid season in 18-19.

Still doesn’t make this any better though - horrendous for NSH

I agree. Nashville wouldn't touch that offer with 50% retention.

Wait, people were ready to write Evangelista off as a bust after leading the OHL in goals and being 4th in points?
