Pass. The Kings don't need any more top six scoring wingers. They already have Kempe, Arvidsson, Fiala, and Vilardi for that. They need to spend the rest of their cap space on a goaltender and to shore up the defense.

If you want to work out a DeBrincat trade for Durzi, Arvidsson, and a prospect (not Byfield or Clarke) or draft pick (not a 1st), then maybe the Kings would make it work. If not, your best bet is to look elsewhere. I have no doubt that Ottawa can get a quality futures package for DeBrincat. It just won't be from LA.

Secondly Ottawas not trading Pinto away that's not gunna happen, they don't have anyone capable of filling the position right away and the ownership still isn't technically wrapped up yet so they won't be able to just sign bigger name FAs.

Konecny is an interesting guy to go after, good replacement for debrincat but all depends on asking price.
