Nowhere near enough. That could get you maybe 4th OA if you pray really really hard

Both teams need the players offered at their respective spots.

    Don't open Pandora's box.
There was an Anaheim guy asking for Seider + 9 + 17.

Columbus needs a center coming back in ANY trade resembling fair value, which means the Red Wings are not going to be able to get 3 from Columbus barring extreme overpay.

Honestly the ducks still have some bad years ahead of them and they have a decent amount of prospects. Those bad years will net some more good prospects. They will want as much elite talent as they can get. The Sharks are in the same boat. They have more bad years coming, probably 4, so lots of time to get good prospects. They will just take the elite player now cause they may not get another chance at it. Columbus needs an elite centre and they definitely won't be picking here again for a few years with the moves they made, expected anyways.

Two routes into the top 5; 4OA and 5OA.

San Jose has a barren prospect pool; they need everything. A sweet enough deal could win 'em over. Obviously, the better route is to obviously ensure the elite talent and just keep 4OA.

5OA really only happens if the top 4 goes Bedard, Fantilli, Carlsson/Smith, Smith/Carlsson. Montreal could (and should) take Michkov, but Russia scare could scare off Hughes.

Columbus desperately needs a top center, needs quality over quantity, and also doesn't want to wait (more than maybe the year it would take to bring over Carlsson). That's 3 strikes against moving the 3OA already.

IF Detroit was serious about talking...it probably starts and ends with a minimum of Larkin + 9 OA.

When you toss in a ton of picks it looks like a lot, but it's a lot of quantity and not quality. For 2nd overall, that would net:
    2023 9th, 17th, 43rd
    and
    a 2024 1st rounder that can't be in the top-10 (condition).

In 2023, once you get past the top-5, the quality of the players in the draft drops dramatically.

With those picks, you're likely going to get multiple middle-six forwards or 2nd-3rd pairing defenders. That's great, but just not something a rebuilding team with a chance at an elite player really needs.

I get what y’all are saying. Either way, Yzerman is going to end up with a top 5 player in the draft somehow.

Yes barren prospect pool so there is that. But yeah lots of years to build that up coming up here. I expect at least 4 years.

Yeah; they have an empty canvas. Especially if they're able to offload that EK contract; I'd do it without retention any means necessary if I were SJS.
Obviously, they'd probably prefer the elite prospect over a few great talents, but it's not gonna be impossible to pursuade them
