Description
Trade #1: Ive seen it proposed a couple times and im down if Hughea doesnt want to draft Michkov. Id drsft Benson at 9 and Barlow at 17 if they're available.
Trade #2: CBJ is stacking up on D and Boqvist seems to be the odd man out with Jiricek coming up. A 2022 1st round pick (Mesar) seems like good value for him.
Trade #3: I think its more than fair given the situation and a lot more than what Ive seen around here. Obviously the trade doesnt happen if PLD really wants 9M$+.
Trade #4: I like Boeser and I think Hughes/Gorton like him too. I dont think Vancouver can expect much for him and I think he could do really well on a new team, especially coached by MSL.
Trade #4-5: cap dumps to team who need depth pieces to get over the edge. Could be any other teams but I think both Edmonton and Colorado could benefit from reliable veterans at 50% retained.
-Free agency: I think signing Killorn would be a good idea, having some good vets around is very important in a rebuild and Killorn is from MTL. I could see his style fit perfectly with Suz and Caufield and he would be an upgrade on Anderson. He might want a bigger AAV, but in my scenario we're still 2M$ below the cap.

Boqvist trade is fair value but if they are trading boqvist they either need a top 6 C or assets that can be used to put a package together for a top 6 C

If Flyers were all in on Michkov and he fell to 5, Id consider 7, 22, 4th rounder for 5 + 31

Flyers might do that no matter WHO they like at #5. Good idea!

Yea, Det does that in a heart beat and probably adds more to get it done. 3 years in the KHL or not, Michkov is a special talent that would, in all likelihood, be first overall in 6 out of the last 7 drafts if he wasn’t Russian.

    Detroit accepts.

But if the trade actually happened it wouldn't be 9 + 17 for 5 + 31. Depending on who is still on the board for both teams. According to the rumors if Michkov is still on the board and trade like this is a definitely a possibility if it's Smith I doubt Montreal trades the pick.

Yeah; I'd take 5+ whatever. I want Michkov.

I doubt Benson or Leonard are there at 9 if one of them was still on the board at 9 I'd be ecstatic,

I think there's a good chance that one of either will be there.
    1234,5. Michkov 6. Reinbacher 7. Leonard 8. Hopefully not Benson 9. Benson

I have no problem with Benson at 9 and I take him over Moore and Dvorsky. Everybody is talking about the top 5 in this draft and for the most part it's Benson size keeping it from being the top 6. So he could come into the league with a chip on his shoulder and something to prove. Plus he's a carnie and that in itself is kind of awesome.

It's Benson's size from being in top 3 lol.
My ideal draft ends with Michkov/Leonard/Benson (that order) + Honzek

    Meh; I've had a change of heart;

    Imagine a top six of
    Raymond-Larkin-Michkov
    Mazur-Kasper-Honzek

Probably moving one of those back to back 2nd rounders would make it impossible to refuse for Montreal.

Thats the thing, imo they both go before Michkov so in the end I dont think it would benefit either team.

The more I see these Montreal and Detroit trades the more I think its a perfect fit for the wings. Wings have the assets to move back into the 20 range with the Florida pick and all of their 2nds.
