No, no ,no... if you are going to trade Lafferty just include him in the Murray trade for that weak offer...

Jets are not trading either of those guys especially not for B or C prospects! Not that they are high end players but they are important players in Winnipeg. They for certain wont retain salary either.
Perhaps I can interest you in a 36 year old right winger making 8.25 million? Hes still decent, probably put up 50+ points.

You literally posted a trade for full Murray retention for our 1st and getting your 2nd back. Moving back in the draft from late 1st to 2nd round is worth a 3rd round pick and a late pick. Go look at draft day trades over the past couple years... This is basically the exact same value as that except we ate 1.5m...

I don't think you have a clue what you are talking about.

Add whatever pick you want so you can arbitrarily win the trade on Armchair GM. I just needed his cap off the books so manifest it how you like.

I didn't realize how important those pieces are for you guys... an overpaid bottom 6 player and a pending UFA. Why are they so integral to Winnipeg where they wouldn't trade them? Especially considering the retool you guys are going to be looking at soon. I don't understand it from a hockey perspective.

I figured they would be a good candidate to move up. I think 3 picks in a row is bad JuJu anyways squinty smile

Its not that they wouldn't trade them, just not for scraps as suggested here. I realize that neither will command a high return therefore, their value is greater to the team and the city than what they would get for them. There has not been a player since Trouba that has complimented Morrisey as well as Demelo has and Lowry will very likely be the next captain. He is a major culture carrier and someone who loves being in Winnipeg. He plays the way the community wants the game to be played. These fact cannot be ignored. Hope that helps.

How did I suggest they are traded for scraps when I didn’t even specify a return? How are prospects and picks scraps. That’s absurd.

Having reasons why you don’t want to trade them is understandable, but saying I suggested scraps for them when I left the return up to your own imagination is odd and I don’t understand how you would come to that conclusion.

Didn’t put a price tag on either player but somehow it’s scraps. Thanks for the insight.

It’s assumed any team trading up is doing it for a player they like.

Yeah those two guys should be traded for more than picks and prospects. Other teams should have to add elite players back in the deals my apologies Winnipeg fans.

My guy, no reason to be facetious. That is not at all what I said, you are creating a narrative that did not exist. My point is, I fully understand that those 2 players are not going to fetch a return even good players, therefore it makes more sense to keep them than trade them away for what would likely be 3rd and 4th round picks or B and C prospects. Keep it classy Mario!

No one but you said 3rd and 4th rd picks. I intentionally didn't list a return to avoid WPG fans being upset by the return and you've still done it. Incredible.

I’m sorry, please define farther down our depth chart then. Go back and read the entire conversation. I am not upset at all, you are the one getting all worked up my dude! I simply answered your question and you went off because I interpreted your comment in the trade as scraps!! Sheesh
