I know it's small sample size but Hirose > Stanley IMO. A pair of giants with Myers and Stanley on the back-end would be insane though haha

I would not give that kind of contract extension to Ryan Graves.
At least a 4 year or 5-year deal would make sense once they clear out the "bad contracts."

Not at all, if you are compensating NJD for that 8th year.

For all the consternation about Jim Benning's management style over the last several years there sure are a lot of Vancouver fans racing to spend the OEL buyout money on expensive, lengthy contracts for middle-of-the-lineup NHL players, which is a very Jim Benning thing to do and frankly only going to keep this franchise spinning their wheels.

The Nashville trade is awful. Bear and Fabbro are pretty similar, not worth dropping that many spots

I’d also keep Garland. Barron is alright but Stanley sucks. Don’t want him anywhere near our NHL lineup

Bear is honestly a better player than Fabbro. I mean what does Fabbro bring to the table? No points, and has pretty poor analytics

There's a pretty big gap between the two. VAN's a getting a respectable #4 defenseman here (a #2 on this particular lineup).

Quoting: Ennis

My only concern would be if NSH decided to qualify Bear. $2.2M is too much for a #7.

Bear is a pretty respectable #3-4 dman as well. He played really well after we acquired him. There’s not that big of a difference between them. You could even argue Bear is slightly better (Evolving Hockey has Bear as a more valuable player in 3 of the last 4 seasons, Dom’s player cards have Bear better this season and Fabbro better in 2021/22, with 2019/20 and 2020/21 being close)

Definitely would be upset if they gave that contract to Graves. I wouldn't mind seeing him on the team, but that's an albatross deal.

Why trade for Steel when you can get him for basically nothing or nothing
