Buffalo refuse, Kings accept and maybe if you get rid of the second and the retention, maybe the flames will thinks about it. But a this point juste pay a second round pick to get rid of goodrow

You can't retain different amounts in different years, and Calgary will keep Huberdueau and hope he bounces back

To me it makes no sense to pay a second round pick to get of goodrow who only has a cap hit of around 3.5 million, when you can buy him out for 200k. That's why I tried trading one bad contract for another.

The second round pick is for olofsson, kakko and cuylle are for krebs and quinn (essentially equal value), korczak was a throw in.

Not sure if I agree with that, considering krebs history of injury. And quinn hasn't played much in the nhl, where kakko has done it, and done decently. Just not getting a better chance in the lineup (limited to third line minutes). Now if it's just that buffalo wants to try their young kids and really has no interest in trading them, then that is different, but in my opinion, you are overvaluing quinn. Quinn to me is a similar player to cuylle based on minors stats, and kakko is definitely better right now than krebs because of the injury.

LAK & BUF say no, although they're almost fair offers. Goodrow & NYR pass

Quinn has essentially already out produced kakkos best season during his rookie year and will just get better. Kakko has already had 4 fullish seasons and has yet to live up to his potential. His value isn't all that great right now, whereas Quinn's is just going up. Quinn also lit it up in the AHL before joining the sabres last season.
Krebs doesn't seem to be injury prone after playing 74 games last season. He was also a key piece in the Vegas deal so that aren't just going to give him away when he's been a good piece for buffalo.

I would concider that deal if you took quinn and the second out and left the rest. Dont know much about cuyle but that he had a great nhl season and would just be curious if you think all thing kinda equal in the >< why are you trading them? Your trading for a fiesty center with 2 goal scoring wingers all with nhl production what is that you'd say your giving back? Not equal points for sure.

Wrong! Kings decline. They can't take on an extra $4m. They barley have money to resign their own RFAs and zero money for a backup goalie. They need to get rid of cap to get a goalie.

Kings decline. Byfield, Kakko and LaFreniere are all at 1/3 of a point over their careers (of small sample sizes) and only Kakko has approached half a point a game in one season; we think Byfield has a higher upside than either of the Rangers wings and if he pans out, Chytil would be unnecessary. There's no need for either team to take such a drastic step at this point in their prospects' respective careers (and I'm talking about all four).

I would rather leave the second, and keep cuylle, would that still be a good value/fair trade?

First, let's agree that your original trade was a very reasonable effort.
Second, Buffala would probably reject the trade because of the rolls that Olofsson (scoring winger), Krebs (fourth line physical center), and Quinn play (second line scoring winger) play for the Sabres.
Kakko has certainly demonstrated an ability to play in the NHL while Cuylle, and Korczak have good minor league or Junior resume, they are only prospects.

Are you proposing Krebs and Olofsson for Kakko, Korczak, and 2023 2nd round pick (CGY)?
IMO Buffalo would accept that deal.

Nope, im just kot sure im interested in the picks and feel i get more value out of were krebs is in development/projected roll. Could be the steal of a century to make that deal but i'd pass. Just my love of krebs tho.
