Hawks would not be interested in MacDermid or the 7th. Would potentially be interested in the first depending on who is left after SJS picks after 26. If there is a guy they really like that they don’t think will be there 8 picks later they start negotiating

Avs can just bury or waive MacDermid honestly, if we don't want him as a scratch. And we can do better than Caleb Jones there.

Puljujärvi won't get qualified so no need to trade there.

I'm curious what Comtois would cost, but i'd guess at least a 3rd.

Down the center, this is a better Avs team than last year but i'm not sure it's better anywhere else

You are under the assumption that you are done tanking. MacDermid does two amazing things for you. He is a deterrent on the ice (not really but your announcers can claim he is) AND he is so awful that he will help get you a very high pick next year. You should be more open to possibilities smile

The reason we would not be interested is because of the number of D-men prospects stuck in AHL waiting for opportunities. MacDermid blocks them more than they already are. It’s time the Hawks actually started developing the prospects they draft.

BTW: I know we are still tanking. Cole Eiserman (did I spell that right?) is available next year
