I've been cheering for Boqvist since the Hawks drafted him. I don't think he'll be in the NHL much longer unless he finally learns how to play some defense and gets stronger. He's a change of scenery player. He COULD excel in CAR because he won't be depended on as much and can play his PP QB role which he actually does do well, BUT if you looking for him to replace Pesce in the long term...Boqvist hasn't yet ever been able to prove he can be a 2-way defender.

Jiricek isn't ready yet. CBJ decline IMO unless they think Blanks can fill the void left from Boqvist being traded.

Peeke/severson/blanks/gudbranson can hold it down until jiricek is ready. Drury can be thrown in a package to get a top 6 C

I just like Boqvist a lot. Can be our best PP1 QB even when Zach is back. I just really want to get rid of Peeke and run Boqy + Blanks for when the other is injured the other jumps in.

I’d like to keep boqvist too but I think he has more trade value than Peeke. Peeke also brings shot blocking and a physical game. Wish gudbranson was gone so we could keep both. Peeke would be perfect for the third pair role
