That garland trade is...yikes...and what's the word about ryczek? Never heard of him before

I'm a Hawks fan and I had to Google him. He's irrelevant at this point in his career. Not sure why he's a trade target but Hawks accept.

Much like Marchenko last year, the Jackets aren't going to trade away a very hyped Russian that they've waited 4 years for the summer before he finally debuts for the team. That and there's no sense in the Jackets spending their remaining cap space on the overpaid wingers the Canucks want to get rid of when there is still a glaring need for a top 6C.

I just assumed this was Hoglander for free. So yes from Hawks.

I liked Ryczek in Halifax, but a small RD.

Garland has almost zero value. We aren't getting much for him in return. It's a cap dump.

He's not a target necessarily. Canucks are done with Hoglander.

Why are they done with him? Is it an attitude issue or something? He's only 22 so I'm curious as to why they'd give up on him.
