Bissonettes B Tkachuk Rumor

Created by: GMBL

Description
Seen a few Barkov for Tkachuk trades so wondered where this was coming from. Found on some site that Bissonnette said something about a B Tkachuk trade to FLR on TNT. I think it's bogus but this is my take on what it would look like.

It's more realistic than Barkov for Tkachuk. If this isn't enough (maybe you think it's too much), then it simply isn't happening (which is what I believe). I'm curious though, why do you think this isn't remotely close?

Brady Tkachuk is a unicorn, the Sens' captain and makes just over $8M for 5 more years right after his first point per game

They'd need a superstar back, can't see the new ownership moving him for anything less

Yeah, all reasons why I don't think it happens but if they were to move him they get two potential stars/superstars in Lundell (12th OV selection) and Knight (13th OV selection), and a really good player in Verhaeghe who had 10 less points than Tkachuk.

Tkachuk will probably be better than Lundell, but Lundell does have the potential to be a really good player still, he could maybe even become Barkov 2.0.

https://stathead.com/hockey/versus-finder.cgi?request=1&seasons_type=perchoice&player_id1=tkachbr01&p1yrfrom=2019&p1yrto=2020&player_id2=lundean01&p2yrfrom=2022&p2yrto=2023

Barkov wouldn't even make sense for OTT since he's 27, and they already have Stutzle and Norris. He also has a NMC so it wouldn't happen. Ekblad fits a need for OTT but he's often injured and only has 2-years left, he also has a NMC. Ottawa would obvious need to see that Lundell is progress in the season and Knight return and play some good hockey. They wouldn't be dealing Tkachuk in the off-season especially since Tkachuk doesn't have trade protection until 2025-26 season. If he does request a trade out of OTT to Florida, it would probably be to Tampa Bay so that he can make more and play against his brother, not with him.

Lmao is Bissonette genuinely suggesting this is something that could happen? Because that'd be a great way for him to ruin the tiny bit of credibility he might have

Florida might want the brothers but I wouldn't do that trade. The difference between Brady and Verhaghe is a lot smaller than knight and a 1st rounder. Dude scored 40 goals, plus bissonette is a clown I wouldn't put stock in anything he says.

He didn't suggest this mock trade but apparently he said something about hearing rumblings about Tkachuk to Florida. Seems like he fantansizes about the brothers playing together and is hoping to give Zito a push or something.

Edit: I looked at some Florida posts and apparently the Barkov for Tkachuk was his suggestion.

On chiclets they call themselves the rumour boys and just make up a bunch of **** as a joke. No he doesn’t genuinely think it’ll happen but apparently people are talking about barkov for tkachuk.

Tkachuk being considered a unique type of player will probably require a special type of player like Verhaeghe coming back, considering the age difference and years of team control it would require a significant amount on top. Knight fills a need for OTT and we know Bob won't go anywhere (probably not to Canada even after his protection reduces). If I'm Zito though, I would probably rather give Verhaeghe+Montour (another guy that fills OTT's needs)+ a 2027 1st or whatever. Considering neither guy is currently eligible for an extension, I don't think Dorion even considers that, so they would likely have to give Knight as well. Knight+a 2027 1st would be a bad outcome though probably if those other two walk in 2-years.

As for Bissionette, he's always making wild mock trades, @tsyls clarified that it wasn't something serious though. I didn't see where the original comments where made or what he said when I did my quick search. There was a 3rd party click bait rumor site that talked about it. I didn't really read it either, since I was just wondering where these B Tkachuk for Barkov trades were coming from.
