This makes so much sense for Detroit!!!! We should most definitely stalwart a good chunk of the future for a bunch of 30 year olds who could leave next year, and will likely recess like all hell!!!!

I mean, your value is fine, but Wings aren't doing this. Yzerman has praised patience throughout the rebuild, a trade like this would be overly aggressive, and wouldn't make sense for where Detroit is at with the process.

The quote was also we aren't paying for a player with no term on their contract or older then Larkin which all 3 of these players don't work on either front.

They're referring to him saying the core is Larkin and younger. All 3 of those guys are notably older than Larkin, so wouldn't be long term targets for the team

Wings decline. Connor, Pionk(maybe), PLD(maybe, with an extension) would be the only players from the Jets that Detroit would trade for.
