For the Penguin's, maybe throw in another 2nd and take Petry+Carter and they accept.
They're not really in a position to be selling off futures because their pool stinks and their team's contention window is basically closed.
Utilize our massive capspace and move up for cheapish.

WPG trade is fair. PIT and CBJ trades aren't worth it for those teams.

The penguins might have to move the 1st round pick to get rid of a contract, but that contract won't be the Granlund one. They'll almost certainly buy that out.

Would need a more interesting prospect than Sabrango in that Connor trade.

2 1sts round picks isn’t quality? Not to mention a 2nd in a very deep draft.

I’d be open to upgrading Sebrango to a Viro or Hanas or someone similar.

lol you're just listing run of the mill prospects. Connor would cost Kasper/Edvinsson/Raymond type players.

Just say you don’t know anything about Detroit’s prospects.
So you really think that Connor would get something like Raymond, a 1st in the deepest draft in recent memory, and more?
Jets fans are fun…

What don't you understand?

Kyle Connor would start with Kasper/Edvinsson/Raymond. And if one of them weren't involve it would at the very least start with 9OA.

Those prospects you listed have very little to no value for WPG when you are talking about trading their 26 year-old superstar.

Not that difficult a concept...

I understand you want Detroit’s top prospects. But just because you want it, doesn’t mean that’s the actual cost.

And the offer that the OP posted is a 1st and a Fabbri more than what Ottawa paid for DeBrincat last year, (coming off of a 40 goal season). I like Connor better than DeBrincat but they’re similar. Is Connor a 1st and a Fabbri worth better than DeBrincat?

If the Jets trade Helly, Scheifle, and PLD, they should go full rebuild.

This is so unbelievably misinformed idk where to begin....

There was a 7OA pick in the DeBrincat trade.

Connor is a significantly better player than Cat and is locked up for 3 more years at a great cap hit. DeBrincat was not. That makes a HUGE difference.

Fabbri is worthless lol

It's not my opinion...that IS the cost for Connor. Why would WPG be trading him for anything less than that? He's easily worth a Raymond or Kasper type player or prospect.

The OP offer is a joke.

-7OA in a weak draft. Would be close to the equivalent of 12-15 this year.
-Cat was locked up for a year and the team had RFA rights.
-Cat was also coming off a 40 goal season and is younger(what would be 2 years younger at the time of the trade, Cat traded at 24, Connor traded at 26).
-You’re essentially saying Connor is almost twice as good as DeBrincat. Statistically, they are pretty equal. Connor career ppg is .90, DeBrincat’s is .83.
- Unless you work for the Jets, you saying that anting “IS the price for Conner” is, by definition your opinion. You’re entitled to it, but it is far from law
