Tampa has to make a decision on Killorn or Colton. They're not just going to hand you Cirelli

I challenge you to show my a player TB signed a long term extension with then traded the player before he played a second of it? Don't bother looking it up it was Dan Boyle in 2008 prior ownership. This ownership doesn't do that.

TB does this 9 seconds after the sun goes supernova and explodes too bad the earth will cease to exist a second before that time.

Make it a playoff protected 1st round pick instead of the 2nd - if Nashville doesn’t make the playoffs in 23/24 then it becomes a 25 unprotected 1st round pick and you’re probably getting a deal outta that

Are we sure Toronto can't add Matthews and Rielly to even up the value while Tampa adds Vasy and Hedman because they have no leverage?

If Toronto can get a top prospect for hat has NHL experience, a 1st round pick, and a defenceman that still has some potential for Nylander (especially a right handed one), they’re taking that.

If they’re even taking calls on moving Nylander it’s cause they’re not re-signing him so he becomes a rental. Tomasino has the same play style and upside as Nylander - if they get him plus 2 other good assets you take that every day.

Toronto is trying to win now and for a cost effective player and a 40 goal scorer... Toronto will want; 1-2 good young roster players that they can fill in to help them win now and at lest 1 1st and a 2nd... Fabbro wouldn't make their current top 4 and Tomasino wouldn't make their top 9 right now

If you trade Nylander for Tomasino then Tomasino is easily in their top 9, he still probably is even do Nylander is there. You’re also not getting 2 young roster players and 2 high picks for a guy that’s a pending UFA. This is a very fair deal. You’re living in dream world

Nylander>Horvat by a ton... and Horvat got a 1st, A+ tier prospect (that gets replaced by a young player) and a young player... adding a second means that the team is not paying a lot more for Nylander compared to Horvat... especially since the 1st isn't going to be a 2023 one... Tomasino doesn't make top 9... especially since the Leafs have cap space to spend on a UFA and might have more if they were to trade Nylander

Not close. Nylander had 40 goals and 87 points last year. To put that in perspective, he would have led 21 NHL teams in scoring. He had 18 more goals than the highest scoring Pred and almost 30 points more than their highest scorer! Tomasino is not close in value to Nylander. Not even remotely close.

Lmao. I think everything I need to know comes from you thinking Raty is an A+ prospect.. he’s no where close to that. A+ is Bedard level, not a mediocre guy with middle 6 potential.

Tomasino is better than Raty. Fabbro would be equal to Beauvillier because both were guys that could use a change of scenery. & then as I said a 1st would be necessary. So it’s pretty good as is.

You mighta argue that Nylander is better than Horvat “by a ton” but that couldn’t be more wrong. Offensively, absolutely the advantage is to Nylander. But defensively, physically, leadership, and positional value are all in Horvat’s favour. If Nylander isn’t scoring then he’s not doing much else for the team - doesn’t forecheck or play defence.

Tomasino and Fabbro can help now and provide cap space for another addition in free agency. It’s a very good deal. & asks like yours show exactly that you’re a fan and nothing more. There’s no logic or reasoning behind your evaluation other than pure bias.

Raty is one of the most touted prospects in the league... that's A+ level in my books... Bedard doesn't count as a prospect considering he's going right into the NHL...

No, Tomasino isn't lol... Fabbri isn't equal to Beauvillier because Beauvillier wasn't getting top 6 minutes in NYI and was with Peterson and Kuzmenko in Vancouver

Nylander's offensive gap is much bigger than Horvat's defensive gap, I'll tell you that for free and all Horvat's lead is a disfunctional Vancouver team to the basement

Truth is, teams will pay more than this or Fabbri + Tomasino + 1st because Nylander's worth more... especially with extension... The bias against Leafs players in general is sorta ridiculous and this trade is sort of continuing that bias

I’m not even gonna read past Raty being labelled as an A+ prospect 🤣
