It will cost a hell of a lot more than TJ Brodie for the hawks to eat 4 mil for 4 years.

Hardly cap compliant. Minni doesn't have the cap or desire for that trade. Leafs shouldn't be spend that much Schefiele. Brodie likely doesn't waive to a non playoff team.
I don't understand all the love for EK, despite his first good season to this decade. Cap. Liljegren and I. believe years of Niemela are better value to the3 Leafs. By this post the Leafs could keep Liljgren, Niemela and a first and have 6.6m to spend on a UFA.

Congrats on maybe the worst trade idea ever posted on this site! Hawks retain $4m for 4 years on Karlsson and take Brodie's contract, and give the Leafs a 4th round pick too. I'm gonna say Hawks pass on that...
