He's a below average NHL backup goalie. Not a terrible contract, but I don't think it's a great idea to run Copley/Talbot as a tandem.

A Copley/Talbot tandem scares me but I like Talbot. Good price too.

He was solid in Minnesota for the most part. For 1M, no risk at all.

This is a good contract but this doesn't fix their goaltending. No one is going to feel good if the don't bring in another goalie

Great price for Talbot but this doesn't necessarily mean their done in the goalie shopping (trade?)

Talbot for the most part has excelled when not given the reigns of the team. But Kings don't have a 1A guy so this is a tricky assessment but I would lean yes

You have to go all the way back to 2016-2017 to find a season where he had a positive saves above expected stat.

I don't think it's gonna happen but a Copley/Talbot tandem could legitimately cause the Kings to miss the playoffs

Oilers picking apart Talbot. About to ruin another goalie psyche ala Markstrom/Korpisalo
Pld can talk all he wants BUT he isn’t close to scaring the best two players on earth with this tandem
