I mean both of them are quality passers

Svech is more shoot first, ask questions later than Auston. Aho is elite at both.

I agree that Svech is more shoot first... He also creates offense by being creating space with his physicality

Good for him, he deserves to be paid real money for once in his career.

Now that's a contract the Leafs should have fought harder to match.

He spent some time playing on the Leafs 3rd line.

Without Matthews / Marner he was a 30 point player.

He was also healthy scratched for a rookie in the playoffs.

Carolina’s style of play will affect Bunting’s points as it affects all of their scoring. In another team Aho would be a 100 point player and Svechnikov a 45 goal scorer. However Carolina can provide quality passing all around the lineup so it doesn’t matter where Bunting plays.

Good deal for Carolina. Bunting is a good contributor to an offensive line, and he's good at getting under the opponents skin and drawing penalties. I think that will work well with Carolina's style. The 3 year term is fair, and I think they got him at a contract number that doesn't require him to put up quite the same numbers as he did in Toronto to be a valuable addition.

Carolina doesn't have a spot in the line up comparable to playing 3rd wheel to Matthews and Marner (Not many do), but they are deeper, meaning they probably aren't as beholden to playing him in a particular spot in the line up for him to be effective.

Good deal for arguably the smartest front office in hockey.

Now he'll be playing with Aho and Jarvis, not much of a downgrade.

They’ve got him playing with…Jack Drury and Stefan Noesen

12 point in 19 games and they have him playing on the 4th line. Wild

He was in the top 6 until Svechnikov came back, but Teravainen has regained his chemistry with Aho and Jarvis is leading the team in scoring, so that's going to be the top line, and you're not going to put Svechnikov on the fourth line, so Bunting gets knocked down the depth chart, though I think he's still getting power play time.

Carolina isn't a top-heavy team like Toronto. Their 4th line isn't too bad. Drury doesn't put up good numbers but Noesen has 11 points. He's normally a power play specialist but this season only 3 of his points have come on the power play. The rest are at even strength on the 4th line.

I haven't been able to watch very many Canes games yet this season (which may be a good thing because it looks like they've been very inconsistent), but I'm looking forward to watching them tonight to see how this year's version fits together with everybody healthy except Andersen.
