That Carolina trade looks familiar! Haha posted it a day or 2 ago..I think it's a perfect balance...but maybe a 3rd team like Chicago would need to hold 3m of Nylander (get paid the Philly 2nd +Brodie), so Carolina has good Cap.

Pesce, a first, and a prospect should get things done... you get a pretty good return for a guy who wants out

I don’t the the canes have a need for Nylander, Jarvis is also an untouchable for them, maybe Nylander for Pesce and a middle 6 player like martinook and a 2nd would get it done

I also think Brodie wants nothing to do with going back to Calgary but I like the addition of Zadorov

I think the leafs will place murray on LTIR because Chicago probably won’t take that deal

I agree with the a middle-six player part but not Martinook... he means a lot more to the Hurricanes than he ever will to the leafs

That's definitely a fair offer... I'm not psyched about giving up Pesce but this definitely makes the Hurricanes better and alleviates the log-jam at RD... So I'll take it

The more 1st round picks for Calgary the better, especially if the pieces going out are older and on expiring contracts. That is, if Calgary decides to retool their roster and don't believe they can compete for the playoffs next year.

Hawks decline. If that's all it took to move Murray, he'd be traded by now. And the Leafs are the only team that can buy him out at this point.

That's just to make the cap work for the Leafs. Calgary can flip him to another team for a 2nd, or play for the rest of the season until the trade deadline.
