Not enough retention, WAY Too much for EK. EK should not cost a top 6 forward unless San Jose are eating 50%. He's 33 and has an ankle made of carbon fibre.

With the UFA signings Buffalo made and Adams' prior professions about not wanting to commit term and cap (or trade 1st round picks) to older players, I think the ship has sailed on Pesce for the Sabres.

Smells a lot like a Buffalo fan. Come on. We replaced you guys and Edmonton with Toronto and Nashville. You'll have to wait until next week. And none of those UFA signings are happening.

You're never getting 50% retention. You'll get 4.5m retained at tops IMO

Honestly, I don't see why the Canes don't just extend Pesce. Probably will get the Severson contract

I think the trade for Karl is fine but I just don't see the Canes doing it.

I honestly think the Canes are trying to raise the price for the Pens. I'm not sure either go for Karl, honestly

Yup. Why do the Canes keep losing Teuvo in these trades in addition to Pesce? That leaves a very underwhelming forward core

scored 101 points on a team with no PP and devoid of offensive talent and won a Norris! For 8 mil a year he’s worth a fair amount, remove the injuries and a top line F a high prospect a 1 st and multiple picks wouldn’t be crazy. But I get the injury consents and that they take a top on a player.
