Description
Rangers get elevated production, versatility, and vet leadership for one year, a 2nd, 3rd and Tracey (in need of a scenery change) to alleviate the lack of longevity and high potential ceiling they’re losing. Could also build this around Lundestrom? Honestly doubt Ranger fans like this trade, interested to hear if there’s something here though.

Sabers get a 2x all star goalie who’s still in his 20s but has struggled with a terrible defense in front of him in recent years. If you watch the ducks, he’s absolutely kept them in plenty of games they had no business being in. Yes, his contract is weighty, but he’s proved he’s worth it when he’s had a capable defense and been healthy. Admittedly, it’s an ambitious move trading for him, but I’m genuinely optimistic he’s worth it if they can moderate his workload to keep him healthy and give him even an average NHL d. Ostlund is probably outside the top 5 prospects for Buf right now, so hopefully it’s not too ambitious a return to ask for. Does ANA need more centers? No, but hell let’s stock the cupboards

If I'm Drury I'm asking for the Ducks' 1st rounder. He has no reason to trade Laf so you're gonna have to give him one, and the haul you showed isn't gonna pry Laf out of his hands.

I think Drury declines this deal, Laf has a way higher ceiling than Tracey. Henrique on a one year deal is fine but NYR have depth down the middle and don’t need him.

I feel if the Rangers were to trade Laf, it would be for room to sign Tarasenko or Kane. If that trade were to happen, like @GoofyFoFoofy said, it would include a 1rst, and if I may add, another team retaining on Henrique (or you just keep Henrique).

You're not gonna get a prospect like Ostlund in a Gibson trade.

Just offer sheet Lafrenière. It’ll be cheaper and New York may not be able to match it

There are teams who should OS Lafrenier. We are not one of them.
