SJ aren’t using their last retention spot for four years and eight million dollars for a B+ level prospect.

Nobodies using a retention slot for 4 years for whoever Brett Harrison is. It'd cost atleast a 1stand even then it's iffy

I do not know why people want Krug back. I would MUCH rather play Grz all year and lose him in free agency, which then opens a spot for Lohrei, then having a guy who is on a steep decline for the next FOUR years until he is 36... no thank you, leave the nostalgia as just that.

The Penguins got Graves in free agency. They no longer have the cap space or the need for Grzelcyk.

Bruins give up another 1st for... Krug? Never. We didn't want to pay him years ago, not gonna pay now AND lose draft capital on top of it. Also we don't need him.

There’s absolutely no interest for this from Pittsburgh. We have both Petey and Graves who will duke it out to play with Letang and then we have cheap contracts with POJ and Smith. None of those guys are players who we’d want to move (unless karlsson is coming to town, and San Jose wants POJ or Smith)

And calling Harrison a B+ prospect is extremely generous.

San Jose is NOT doing that, unfortunately.

Don Sweeney let Krug walk when he was very good. You want to take a likely bad contract even with 50 percent retention.

I’d rather give Grzelcyk an extension. He’s as good if not better than Krug at this point and he is younger. Nostalgia is great, but only if the financials work.

I’d argue Krug has negative value with his contract
