Couture isn't a 1C, isn't worth $8M and will decline over the next four seasons. Chances are the Bruins could keep DeBrusk for a less money for the same level of play if not better.

Boston is not trading for that bad contract.

They are much better off seeing what Zacha and Geekie can do with top 9 center roles this year and wait and see on what could potentially be the best group of free agent centers ever next year.

If you took Debrusk out and they retained 50% on LC B’s might consider it.

He’s 34 at the end of his prime and is overpaid so no the bruins who are trying to get younger and trying to build a future for pasta and mcavoy shouldn’t trade their much younger forward that is performing well in our new coaches system for couture

I didn’t say the sharks would do this trade because they wouldn’t. Couture gets sh*t for being good is what’s happening here
