It's a fair deal, the thing is whether he plateaus or not. He reminds me a lot of Alex Kerfoot who never came close to his first year of shooting percentage but is still a "decent" middle 6 forward but undersized and not everyone can pay $3.5 million for a 3rd line LW for too long. Especially now that the Yotes actually have Kerfoot on their roster it will be interesting to follow them and his progress. Macelli made a good linemate for Crouse (actually a perfect fit as Crouse plays the "inside" game and Macelli the "outside". If they can get Hayton or Bjugstad as a consistent center should be telling as to what his expectations will look like next year.
