Kings say no thanks. If Turcotte gets trade it will be in a package of some kind. No 1 for 1 type of trade for him.

Blues say no. We have no need for Hoffman and can't fit his cap hit

Irony here is he overpaid and you said no.
I was just showing up to say Pass we'll get him on Waivers for Free soon enough(Last years he's Waiver Exempt and i doubt he makes the opening roster in LAK)

I like Turcotte's story but his career highlights are defined by better people surrounding around him.
Something he couldnt recreate with lesser talent at the AHL level .
While he may have an Upside like Shaw where he can play above his skill level based on Chemistry
I just dont see it as risk worthy given all the project players we already got.

With the Kings cap situation, I don't think they're in the market for any players that have a cap hit over the league minimum.

Turcotte has actually been really good while healthy. He just hasn't been able to stay healthy.

There was a write-up on him a few weeks ago with quotes from the Kings' coaching and development staff. I'll see if I can find it.

Edit: A few months ago actually.

There's exactly nothing about that to suit the Blues.

Harris have more value, Turcotte might be a late bloomer but he haven’t shown anything yet that made me think he would play in the Nhl and have a impact. Harris already shown for last season that he belong in the NHL. Turcotte definitely have a higher ceiling but he also got a much lower floor. Harris floor is already a 5th - 6th dman.
But i tend to agree that there not a fit here for this trade.

Don't think Turcotte has much of a future in LA, with PLD and Danault the Kings are now set at top 6 centers for a minimum of 4 years. Another hint is that LA kept on stacking centers early and often in recent drafts with Pinelli,Byfield, Helenius and Hughes all being top 60 picks so substantial draft capital's been given to stock up the position.
Does he holds much value? Playing an average of 30 games per year and having a threepeat six goal season is certainly not something I'd give a late first or established roster player for, maybe he gets swapped for another stalling prospect? Packaged with a pick to get someone at TDL?
