Even with an extension, Nylander isn't worth that. He's going to be 28 this year and is an 80-90 point player. A top prospect, a decent goalie, a big d-man with good hands AND a first round pick. When everyone knows Toronto needs to dump cap? That's not going to happen. Because of the cap situation you probably need to lower the other draft picks by 1 or 2 rounds as well.
Finally, I just can't wrap my head around why the Leafs would get rid of their best stay at home D-man.
