With Nichushkin’s off ice issue I can’t see the Leafs being interested in him. It’s a pretty big deal breaker

Doubt that gets it done, but if it did I'd at least consider. Issue is Toews is another LD. It's like when we acquired Muzzin, if he's available its not a deal breaker but we really need an Rd more.

Also if toews signs that, he should fire his agent. He's been like a 15th ish best defenseman in the league the last couple years.

Idk all of the details or if anything came out it, but he was involved in an off ice issue with a woman in Seattle during the playoffs. He missed games 3,4,5,6, & 7 because the team suspended him - the league didn’t investigate but something happened. Leafs would be cautious of acquiring him without knowing that really happened

The team didn’t suspend him, he was away for personal reasons, whatever the reason was with the drunk woman he was never even questioned by Seattle PD and was scheduled to play if they advanced. Sure bad optics but he was never suspended.

What XQ up there said is exactly how it went down. I have no doubt Choo Choo will be back for Colorado but I still don't know how much trade value he will EVER have. He was a complete bust in Dallas and for whatever reason he works in our system. That Seattle incident would scare me away from trading for him if I were any other team, but what would scare me more is whether his success is because of Colorado or if he can play in another system. And that 6mill number ain't cheap. No from Colorado, but I can absolutely see why it should be a no from the Leafs as well.
