The Kings would consider moving Turcotte in a package for an immediate roster upgraded, but they're not going to sell low on him for futures that don't help the team now. He has a full year remaining of waier exemption and they plan to use every second of it to try and develop him into the player they drafted.

Can't see the hawks making trades to block their plethora of LD prospects that need ice time. Don't think the kings are ready to give up on turcotte just yet either.

After drafting Bedard and Moore, can't see the Hawks being interested in Turcotte any longer. Leafs aren't spending a 1st to move Brodie. Hawks aren't spending a 2nd for Jones.

So? Nils was a better prospect. Not every defensive prospect is worth a 1st.

Nils was a former 1st himself and impressive junior seasons compared to Jones

They can run a 20 man roster and be cap compliant, this has been explained at nauseam. But troll nation just has no interest in reality it seems

Teams have four different “roster” limits to balance under the league’s regulations; a 20-player “dressed list” for games, a 23-player active NHL roster, a 50-contract maximum, and a 90-player maximum reserve list. Don’t say they as if you’re not a leaf fan living in this delusion. What happens when Murray needs to be activated? Do your homework next time before u keep making urself look stupid.

The irony of this statement. Do some homework and look at how many teams operated with a 20 man roster at various times. When you do, you'll find that many teams did this to start the season last year, including the leafs. It's not ideal but it's absolutely possible, has been done and will again. So as you mentioned, do some homework before you make yourself look stupid.

So all of your problems will just magically… poof…. Disappear when Murray must be activated. You’re disputing with the nhl website because that’s where I copy and pasted that from. My god are leaf fans delusional.

Murray is our indefinitely, sounds like a concussion issue. When's he coming back? You are just dying to see the leafs burn eh? Nothing matters more than that eh? What a weird obsession.

Wow what an obsession to think conveniently, with no confirmed injury, he will be out for the season. You’re that desperate for your own player to be out for the season just so your team can be cap compliant. It’s called being realistic. So you’re telling me you can run a roster with 0 extras? Never seen that my friend and if you have please feel free to show me an example. You seem to know a lot of them. You guys are the most delusional fans in the league…. Let me guess this is the year now too?

It doesn't work that way. If he wasn't injured, he'd say so. The team has to submit this info to the league. It's also personal information. I don't think anyone wants Murray to be hurt. Maybe some tasteless losers but the reality is he's not well. He has a history of head injuries and that certainly seems like what he's dealing with. So instead of speculating, let's just look at the facts. Murray is out indefinitely. It is possible and has been done in the past and is completely legal, the leafs can run a 20 man roster.

So once again, do some homework.

Hey look at this, 20 seconds on Google and here you go.

https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/how-the-maple-leafs-landed-on-their-nhl-roster-and-why-they-might-open-short/

This is from last year, where not only the leafs started the season with a short bench but several teams did. Is it optimal? No, but it's possible and has been done and usually is just a stop gap.

You managed to type a whole bible passage without answering my question…. What happens when Murray comes back? You’re argument in the beginning was ‘since when are the leafs in cap trouble?’ Since they have a 20 man roster and can’t afford a single day to day injury or suspension without playing short. You’re trying to avoid it but you’re banking on the fact that Murray is out for the season when that is complete and utter speculation. That is your hope. If not, then why would you argue that the leafs are fine cap wise? Because they’re not. You’re hoping that your own goalie is out for the season. People like you shouldn’t been on this app. Do your homework.

Do you have some knowledge on when or if Murray is coming back. He has missed almost an entire year in the past due to a concussion and that knock he took at the end of the season was no joke, Raymond fell and took Murray's leg out from under him and he smashed the back of his head on the ice. It was really bad. So what happens? No idea, right now it sounds like it's a very long term situation. I certainly hope he gets healthy. In season, its highly likely other players get hurt at times and who knows what happens but to start the season the leafs cap situation is fine.

But perhaps it's wise to read what people write here so you can do some homework. Because you have so far been spouting off a bunch of incorrect stuff. May want to do some more homework.

I know you are absolutely dying to see the leafs implode and it's making you so so so angry that they are not in a situation you are praying for but take it out on someone else. Because this is just sad now. Here's some homework for you, study what irony means. Because you have been a terrific example of it. Calling people stupid for "not doing homework" while blatantly spouting off 100% wrong things doesn't make you look like you think it makes you look.

Like remember when you said it's illegal to run a 20 man roster? Well a 20 second Google search showed us just how much homework you didn't do and still refuse to even acknowledge. Maybe you are too young and inexperienced to understand this. Hopefully you commit to working harder on your homework, it'll serve you well.
