You can be a fan and realistic at the same time. I never said I would even want the Oilers to trade for Wilson, if we didnt already have Kane then I could see a need to facilitate a trade for a guy like Wilson, but thats not the case.
I was simply commenting on the trade and the fact that the Caps wouldnt do that trade. Unfortunately Nurse's contract diminishes his value terribly. If his cap hit were anywhere from $6-7.5mill it would be a different story, but its not(I like Nurse, i dont think he deserves the hate he gets, i would prefer he remains an Oiler).
As for Broberg, I think Holland should have cashed in on him after he traded for Ekholm. Ekholm/Nurse/Kulak are the top 6 LHD that will win a stanley cup. Broberg doesnt fit the timeline, cash in. RHD is where they need to do some tweaking.

All of Ekholm, Kulak and Broberg can play the right side effectively. I dont consider a comment like Broberg wont be a regular on the roster this year, Holland should have traded him already as "realistic" when every credible observer has him as a top-6 defender next season.
