Suzuki is a C prospect and they get a 20 goal scorer which is what they need. Montreal could pay for double retention as well

If he is underperforming and looking like an ahl starter again, Buffalo needs a backup to compete

Heres the issue. Carolina have enough guys that could put up 20 goals.
          Aho
          Svechnikov
          Teravainen
          Necas
          Jarvis
          Bunting
          Staal
Hell, Kotkaniemi could do it this year if he keeps the pace up he had after Christmas

They don't need more depth scoring. Carolina's forward core is among the deepest in the league. They need top-end talent. Someone like Tarasenko. Hoffman isn't that.

How many goals did those goal scorer score in the semifinals? Cause you really look like you needed offence

Yes, he would. He is an excellent backup. He is less good when he is placed in a starter situation, wich shouldn’t happen in Buffalo

At 1m, if he is on a 60 points pace, he could definitely get a first heavily protected

If Monahan is healthy and on a 60 points pace, you shouldn’t be able to get him with less than a second w/o retention. This has him at 1m for a heavily protected first

When Teravainen had a broken hand and Svechnikov wasn't playing due to an ACL tear? Yeah, they did. Top end offense. Not depth guys. Jordan Martinook had 10 points against the Devils in the series before. Depth isn't the problem

          Jake Allen 32 yo; $3,850,000 until 2024-25; 3.55 GAA; 0.891SV%

I can give you 3,125,000 reasons this year and 3,850,000 reasons next year why the Sabres should not make this trade.

It’s been 5 years since he scored 60 points. And Montreal would be foolish to play him in the top 6 over the young guys.

As I said, Allen is bad when he is in a starter role. He was in that role last season. Also, just look at advanced stats

It’s been 5 years since he scored 60 points. And Montreal would be foolish to play him in the top 6 over the young guys.

Last year he had a 55 points pace. He can do it

And after 5 games, dahlin was on an 82 goal pace.

Yeah, after 5 games. That pace is 25 games. He could easily score 50 points

He's more than likely never going to play a full season again. In 21/22 he had 23 points in 62 games. You're living in a dream world where he nets a first round pick.

I think you are definitely overvaluing him, also Boston doesn't need a middle 6F/C they need a top 6 C (pref 1C) Monahan is not a 1C so Boston is likely Out.
