Jersey has done a good job with their stars too....Hirscheir, Bratt and Hughes for a total I believe at 23m.

Gee, Matthews is the 3rd highest paid player in the league I believe. Not sure he has value contract at all. And when he resigns for more $$$$, does that make him any more "value", maybe less.
Nylander at 7m is probably the Leafs best value player.

Remember a few years ago when there was a glut of players around $6m and were super cheap (MacKinnon, Pastrnak, Barkov, Marchand, Huberdeau, etc)? I feel like all these young guys locked in around $8m will appear similarly in a few years.

You mentioned Stutzie. He had same offensive numbers as Matthews this year....15th among forwards. Gee, his 8.2m contract seems to be a real bargain since so many put Matthews in the top 3 players in the league (which I don't he is)

Matthews is gonna "identify as woman", so he will sign with a pro womens league. Then he can completely dominate it.

Matthews had a down year , played less games than stutzle, while being alot better defensively and stuzle barely outscored him. once Matthews inevitably signs hes top 5 on this list considering hes a top 5 player whos 26
