Just seeing what this team could look like if we made a couple more moves next summer toward being competitive.

Definitely see us overpaying another veteran FA or 2 to get to the floor and would rather us avoid the perrys and lucics of the world go for some quality like scheifele. Thats a guy I definitely see making it to free agency vs a stammer or matthews who will probably resign.

One way or another we will need another RHD next year and eventually we will need another young top 4 guy as murphy ages. I think next summer you could see us start to move some of the capital weve accquired from rebuilding to add high end young talent. Dobson to me would be an amazing partner for korchinski and if that 2025 1st is hopefully going to be more like 10-15 than 1-5, could be worth using it in an offer sheet on a guy like kakko. Depending on the laf contract it could be really tough for NYR to match that and retain their other guys.

isles decline, don’t see anyone moving a first for raddysh either. rangers obviously let you have kakko because they’re getting a top 5 pick out of it
