Description
The trades are debateable, leaf fans will say not enough, flames fans will say too much. Maybe a bit more from CGY, a 2nd or an additional 5th.

Brodie is the best player in that deal but 22 yr solid RD Boqvist and 24 yr Bemstrom bring in some needed youth with tremendous upside

Seeler had good metrics on a bad team, at this point hes a better dman and perfect partner for Liljegren/Timmins, with Giordano excellent dman depth.

Holmberg is 23-24 yrs old and with 5 players who can play center, hes the odd man out. Maybe a 4th is too late, especially as its VGS, but maybe a 3rd from VGS?

Also brings in some needed draft capitol for TDL moves/restocking system, while bringing in 3 youngish players (boqvist, bemstrom and pulijarvi) for quality depth and maybe better offense in bottom 6, and 4 forwards under the age of 25 who can help now AND later (Knies, Robertson, bemstrom, Pulijarvi), with good balance throughout defense of stay at home-puck rushers and 3 relatively young guys in Liljegren, Boqvist and Timmins.

Columbus says no. The point is to move out RD, not bring another one right back in.

So the Jackets wind up with nothing from Boqvist after Brodie isn't re-signed next summer? What a deal.

I wouldn't do any of this. It's a worse team

Some pretty reasonable deals here. I wouldn't do the columbus deal from either perspective but i don't think it's bad value in a vacuum.

I'd also keep Holmberg since he's waiver eligible and center depth is a good thing.

Willy or Lindholm plus a pick is fair. Willy is better but Lindholm plays the premium position.

Leafs could use one more D and Seeler is a good bottom pair guy that would be a good fit

A highly paid, older one at that. Oh also one that rapidly declined at the end of the season. Not exactly what I would want in a deal giving up boqvist

I can see the Lindholm/Nylander working, but I'm not convinced its what either team needs. CGY will be out their #1 center and TOR is pushing a centerman (and captain) to the wing?

I'd rather do Hanifin, Vladar, Zary, 2nd Rd Pick for Nylander & Robertson
