Namestnikov didn’t work last year for tampa so I doubt they bring him back again.

Barring any trades or season-ending injuries on defense this season, Heinola is likely in the minors as he is waivers exempt. So I don't expect Heinola signing an extension. I think he will probably do what Gawanke did this offseason, that is, sign with a European club with an NHL out clause and the Jets will end up trading his rights.

While the Jets haven't managed the asset well, Heinola using his Euro assignment clause instead of developing in the AHL allowed Samberg to leapfrog him on the depth chart.

Boston isn't trading Swayman, Seattle has zero interest in Helle with Grubauer there and the Namestnikov trade isnt retool trade so why bother.

Multiple reports have shown Seattle with interest in Hellebuyck.

I think a bigger part of Samberg getting ahead of Heinola on the depth chart is cause he's 5" inches taller and 25 pounds heavier, that matters on a defense that was already too small.

Really, who reported that?

I find that very hard to believe but anything is possible I guess, Grubauer has like 3 or 4 years of term left with some trade protection at starter money, they seem like an unlikely landing spot for Helle plus there's the factor of where he wants to be, he's a Michigan guy so might prefer to be on a eastern or
mid-west team as opposed to the west coast, sure hope the Jets trade him regardless of the team, he just needs to be gone and not re-signed.

Its amazing how quickly things changed. The 17-18 and 18-19 defense group had good size and skill.

Wouldn't any GM be remiss in their duty to at least see what the other team is looking for? Just because you kick the tires doesn't mean you are going to go for it. If Seattle makes that trade, it's going to have to involve Gru going to the Jets to help cover the cap incurred by Hellebucyk. On the other hand, Seattle is so close to the cap I can't see them making a move like that this year.

TB has less than zero interest in Namestnikov. They tried that reunion last year and it failed miserably so, they don't give Archbald for him. They don't give the 5th for him. They certainly don't give both.

But Seattle's GM at this point tells you to pound sand because they can't fit it under cap.

Quite obviously they wold be looking to shed one of their goaltenders before pursuing Hellebuyck

Darren Dregor has mentioned them as a team with interest before, and so has The Hockey News.

LA would be looking for a goalie, cheaper than Hellebuyck, such as Grubauer, along with the NJD.

Gosh, I dunno y'all, maybe he's just not a NHL defensemen? I doubt the Jets continue to appease bubble players trade request because they sign in Europe. And realistically Gawanke is not a NHL defensemen. If Ville goes to Europe its unlikely he gets another shot at the NHL unless some team is willing to pay handsomely otherwise he would be basically shooting himself in the foot.

Where is LA. coming up with almost 6 million in cap space Grubuer makes l5.9 Hellebuyck makes 6.1 wow less than 300k difference where is either team coming up with that cap space especially NJ with signings they have coming up. Another I don't give a s** about the other teams needs or situation as long as I get what I want post
