Description

Marchessault and Cassidy had beefed during the 2023 playoffs, so there's a chance he doesn't re-sign. Morozov, Pachal and 3rd are sweeteners, because Marchy is slightly worse, but Giroux is older. Sens probably won't keep Pachal because they need money for Pinto, but if Pachal gets traded again, it won't be for nothing

I don't think G would waive to leave his hometown to go to Vegas. He signed in Ottawa with a NMC for a reason

No he doesn't want out. You're only referencing half of what Marchessault said. He also said he learned how to get along with Cassidy and that he respected him as a head coach.

He appreciated Cassidy trusting him to be on the ice in important situations.

You're seeing what you want to see to justify your false narrative. Hehe

lol some are underrating Giroux like crazy here

Marchessault is great but UFA to be and not as good 2-way

Also those "sweeteners" are pocket change... Can't see Morozov and Pachal make the Sens. There's already Thomson and Guenette who might never get the opportunity in Ottawa. Morozov doesn't seem very good

Anyway, moot talk since Giroux will most likely retire in Ottawa. Perfectly fine for us as he seems to be aging like wine a la Aflie
