I see you are a fellow Vlasic disliker and put him where he belongs. I would put him in the box the rest of his contract.

Rangers decline. Perrault's not for sale, Rangers view him as a top 10 pick talent, if you want him you'll have to overpay for him.

The Sharks are rebuilding. Even IF it's top 5 protected...you'll be in the last 5 and then lose out on Misa and/or McKenna. It'll be 5+ years before the Sharks are relevant if they do it right. Shoulda retained 50% on EK and opened up the options.

So he’s a top 10 talent but not a soul had him in the top 10 and you go him in the 20s? Interesting lol

I said they view him as a top 10 talent. Time will tell if he actually is but that applies to every player drafted. It's widely considered that he was a huge steal in the draft, Rangers didn't even have a jersey with his name on it ready cause they didn't expect him to fall to them.

I’m a big fan of him and I can’t believe the flyers passed on him with their 2nd pick because most had him in the like 12-17 range but that being said I still think a top 10 talent is a bit too far

Man that WSH trade is some kind of awful for Washington.

Here, trade a guy you just picked 8th overall in an outstanding draft year for a likely worse pick in a worse draft but we’ll add a dramatically under-sized, 3rd Rd forward that you don’t need to cover the difference. Washington breaks their arm hanging up the phone so quickly and emphatically.

Dude, you have no idea how good Gushchin is. These are both so terrible for the Sharks it's crazy.

Gushchin is 5’8 and 165lbs. The likelihood he becomes a regular at the NHL level can best be described as a prayer.

You must not keep up with him then. He's already made his debut and had a goal in his first game and an assist in his second. And could have easily had 1-2 more points. He's incredibly skillful

Also maybe time to get more updated info. His Elite Prospects page has him listed as 5'10" 181 lbs. Which if you've ever actually seen him, you'd know is more accurate

I don't dislike Vlasic. But at this point the ice time is better spent on developing younger defensemen. Vlasic was great for years. Unfortunately now he's a 3rd pair D at best and way overpaid with one of the worst contracts in the NHL.

I like Gushchin. Great shot and compete. Backchecks. He's better than Bordeleau. But I'd much rather have Leonard. Completing the set of Smith/Leonard/Perreault would be awesome! But apparently too good to be true according to the response here. I thought I was overpaying a bit. Perhaps not.

100% I'd rather have Leonard but not at the cost of a great prospect AND a high pick.
