Why trade Kubalik if you’re going to bring a more expensive and worse player in Laughton?

And doubt the Coyotes would go for that. They can afford to spend some picks but would they want to « accelerate » their rebuild like that? Might as well spend these picks on one bigger player

People won’t know but yes Brannstrom and Kubalik with his contract are quite valuable. Joseph for the same reason is not but if you have the cap, he’s still going to improve your bottom-6 and particularly your 1st PK unit

Think of the players Ottawa traded a first for while trying to exit their rebuild, Duchene, DeBrincat, Chychrun. Now look at what you’re offering Arizona, a pending UFA streaky goal scorer, a cap dump that probably costs at least a 2nd to move, and a smaller puck moving defenseman with good underlying numbers but hasn’t broken out. Come on now, what there says a 1st and a 2nd?

Nothing in that Arizona deal is even remotely worth the price you're asking.

Coyotes and Flyers easily decline these offers.
Rather have Kubalik than Laughton.

Coyote's declines, and also why would Ottawa want to do this? 5 players going out and 1 coming in... Basically, just putting them in the same position last year with no depth that they just improved.

I love Branny, but him, Kubalik and Joseph won’t fetch a 1st. Have to pay most likely to dump Joseph because of his term, Kubalik worth maybe a 3rd or a low 2nd if a team really needs someone who can one time the puck, and Branny probably worth a 2nd and a low level prospect. Arizona might go for Branny, fits their rebuild and they have a million picks to part with, but I doubt they’d be interested in any of the others, nor would they consider a 1st unless it’s for a Top 6 F/Top 4 D. Flyers won’t do that either, think they want picks at this point rather than taking shots on older prospects that haven’t panned out yet
