I think CBJ would be dumb not to take that, but remove Timmins. The whole point of moving Peeke is to clear space on the right side.

I would take that as the Jackets, and we would probably just end up waiving Timmins unless we could quickly find a team to trade something for him. I take the additional pick as payment for the trouble of dealing with yet another RD that doesnt fit in the lineup.

Hawks would not trade either one of Raddysh or a 2nd for bordie and Jarnkrok.

Hawks decline. They wouldn't give up a 2nd OR Raddysh, let alone both, to acquire Brodie and Jarnkrok. This deal makes no sense for a rebuilding Hawks team.

I have a hard time seeing why Chicago would have any interest in that at all.

Do the Hawks just plan on being this generations Sabres?

Come on. Seriously? It's year two of a full on rebuild. Just because the Hawks got Bedard doesn't mean they scrap their plan and try to win now.

This is absolutely brutal for Chicago, Raddysh was as productive as Jarnkrok last season playing on a much worse team and will be making below NHL minimum this upcoming season. He is also six years younger and will be an RFA after this season. You would have to add at least a 2nd or 3rd pick just to make the Hawks consider that exchange.

That means the Leafs would be shipping Brodie to the Hawks for nothing… now I know Leafs fans get upset when Hawks fans say this but the Hawks will not eat Brodie’s $5m cap hit and $7.5m cash outlay unless it comes with a significant sweetener. That doesn’t mean i don’t believe Brodie has value, he just doesn’t have the same value to a rebuilding team like Chicago. The real value to the Hawks would be the draft capital/prospect he brings with him since winning is not the priority for this upcoming season in Chicago.

For those reasons I don’t believe there is the slightest chance this trade would happen.

Nope, but they also don’t want to be the next generations Leafs and go 56+ years between Stanley Cup wins, so they will do it right and not rush the rebuild by haphazardly taking everyone’s cap problems in return for draft capital.

That's an overpayment for Peeke. The Hawks-Leafs trade makes no sense for either side.

Lol what. You'd rather miss the playoffs and be miserably bad for a decade while all your star players leave?

Because Buffalo has such a rich cup-winning history.
