Leafs easily pass, we're not moving Liljegren and giving up a pick for an undersized bust and an AHLer

Wait, so Dahlin and Liljegren are the new Toews and Makar? Dahlin is right there at the tier below Cale, but Liljegren......is not close to Toews.

Clearly a 20 point defenseman and player with no NHL experience is going to vastly improve your team. Who needs a solid young d-man and a swiss army knife of a forward? With this trade you get POTENTIAL tears of joy

Leafs have no need to trade Liljegren for another Connor Timmins (Jokiharu) and a future Alex Kerfoot (Ostlund)

Ostlund turning into Kerfoot would be pretty awesome. Mid-first round picks are NEVER a guarantee. That's what makes this deal so funny to me.

Not a chance Buffalo does that. Dahlin and Samuelsson is an elite pairing anyway

How is Ostlund a bust if he was drafted a year ago? Would you consider Liljegren a bust seeing as he’s constantly been healthy scratched in the playoffs?

What are you even talking about?

Ostlund was drafted in the first round in 2022, 16th overall and is playing one last year in Europe.

Jokiharju has played 20 mins a night for 2 years now and is the same age as Liljegren

Jokiharju is 6' and 195lbs, I wouldn't call him undersized. Sure, he's a puss, but that's not the same thing. He's probably a 3rd pair nhl guy, just being right handed qualifies him I think. I'd like to get away from guys like that, the Sabres have two first overall picks to move the puck (technically 3 if you wanna include Erik Johnson, which I dont). Rather get guys that have a different skill set, you can guess what that would be.

Don't you disrespect EJ. That man is a TREASURE. A treasure who will give you a good 14-16 minutes a night and occasionally surprise you with some offense lol.

I'm just glad Shattenkirk didn't pan out like everyone thought he would. Cuz giving up him for EJ for the first few years felt awful.......

Dahlin is elite, I like Samuelsson but wouldn't mind finding another TOP 3 Dman.
