Offense would be amazing but that defense is rough.

Flyers don’t need a wing, thanks though.

Nope. All I know is we need defense, and we would be trading a d man with potential for a right winger. Our right wingers are Konecny, Tippet, Hathaway, Foerester, Allison, and Bobby Brink. I reiterate, thanks but no thanks.

Obviously Buffalo drafted well once Murray left town.
These were not the missed opportunities.

If you want to complain it was Murray who drafted really poorly
Reinhart over Draisatl and Nylander over Sergachev Opps my bad
Those were bonehead draft picks my friend.
Other than Ceci, every one that Buffalo drafted is as good or better than the next pick made by Botterill or Forton.

Adams has been fantastic at drafting. Murray was pretty good at getting solid players in late rounds but made many mistakes in early rounds. Botterill was all over the map

Jerry Fortan has been unbelievable there is no question 9 very good picks in the first or second rounds over the last four years.
Botterill was very good he drafted 11 potential NHL players in 3 drafts:
        2017 Mittelstadt/Luukkonen/Bryson
        2018 Dahlin/Samualsson
        2019 Power/Johnson/Portillo/Rousak
Let's not over look that last years team four of the five top scoring forwards and three of the four top minute defensemen were brought here by Botterill.
Only two of Murray's acqusitions remain on last years team Okposo and Olofsson.
Murray did have some late round home runs, but to over look hall of famers and all stars as Draisaitl and Sergachev IMO negates his second line picks of Olofsson/Hagel/Borgan.
        EDIT
Let me add Brandon Montour to Botterill's acquisitions.
        https://thehockeywriters.com/panthers-need-montour-extension-done/?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email
Imagine having him in the mix with our defensemen, we may have made the playoffs last season!
There would have been at least two games that his presence would have added two more pts to the 91 total.
