That trade is endorsed by Pens fans who can't do math. Plus, I promise you, Dubas is not moving another 1st unless it's a major hockey trade, not a rental.

I don't think the trade is bad trade. I think the value is fair. It's just not a plausible trade for us.

Just looked and saw you have like 5.9 left with Jake on LTIR with a 21 man roster — totally make sense

What if we took back Carter and bought him out?

From Ducks POV, I love everything about this. Bad feels moving Lunde injured though

AZ is not moving McBain unless a huge overpay. they love him, big physical C as rookie led the NHL in hits for F, great on PK and nice bottom 6 scoring and still RFA in 2 years.

Well you can’t buy out Carter anymore. It could be a mutual termination though but I doubt Carter would waive and agree to that cause unlike a buyout, a contract termination means he doesn’t get the money. And I doubt Carter waives to go anywhere and actually be part of the team.

Incorrect. Jake is only slated to miss about five or six games. Dubas announced he won't be going on LTIR and regardless, let's say he did, we'd still be over when Jake comes back. It doesn't get prorated. It makes no sense.

Carter still has to approve a trade.

That Canucks trade only made sense before they signed Suter. It doesn't really work for them now

Peeke trade’s not going to work for Columbus, who needs to move out RD not make a lateral swap. Also not sure what the point of it is for Anaheim.

I like Mcbain too. The more I look at the player the more I see value and potential upside.

McBain and Gaucher would be such a fun 3rd line for the future imo — well 2/3 of that 3rd line
